DAY 02 : THUR – MALACCA – KUALA LUMPUR (147 KM)
Depart by 0830 hours to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Tour of Kuala Lumpur upon arrival. Places to be visited are King’s Palace (photo stop), National Mosque & Railway Station, National Monument, Independence Square, Sultan Abdul Samad building (photo stop), Selangor Club (photo stop), St Mary’s Church and the world tallest free-standing flagpole. Continue to visit the Seri Mahamariaman Temple and colourful Chinatown for bargain hunting.

Visit the tallest Communication Tower in South East Asia for a panoramic view of the City. Check in your Hotel. Overnight.

DAY 03 : FRI – KUALA LUMPUR
Abf. Morning tour of the Countryside visiting the Ambassadors road, a pewter factory, Malaysia is one of the biggest producer of tin, Batu Caves (except during Thaipusam in January), the sacred cave temple for the Hindus and a batik factory.

Rest of the day at leisure for you to discover the good bargains and cosy cafes and restaurants of Kuala Lumpur, the happening City. Overnight.

DAY 04 : SAT KUALA LUMPUR – CAMERON HIGHLANDS (220 KM)
Depart by 0830 hours for Cameron Highland, which is located at 1542 meters above sea level. Famed for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. On the way, we will stop at visit a basket weaving cottage industry, Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. Enjoy the cool, crisp air of Cameron Highlands beside its wonderful scenery. Tour of Cameron Highlands upon arrival including the tea plantation, tea factory, market place and butterfly farm. Overnight.

DAY 05 : SUN – CAMERON HIGHLANDS-PENANG (330 KM)
Depart for Penang. Enroute, visit the Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple in Ipoh, the Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan. Cross over to Penang using the fifth longest bridge in the world, arrive Penang at 1830 hours. Overnight.

DAY 06 : MON – PENANG
At 0900 hours, we will proceed for a City, Culture, and Heritage tour. Visit first 3rd longest Reclining Buddha in the world, next is the Botanical Gardens which offers lush green surroundings with a wide variety of tropical plants and bird life. Visit the Kek Lok Si Temple built in 1904, the most beautiful and largest Buddha Temple Complex in South East Asia and is known as the Temple of 1000 Buddhas and Fort Cornwallis where Captain Francis Light first landed. Continue to the old part of Georgetown where the Khoo Kong Si Clan House is located. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

In the late evening, you can explore the nightlife along Batu Ferringhi, Penang style! Overnight.

DAY 07 : TUE – PENANG – KOTA BAHRU (400 KM)
We will depart at 0830 hours, travelling overland from the West to the East of the Peninsular Malaysia through the main mountain range offering breathtaking views of the dense tropical rain forest beside driving pass villages and plantations. Take a rest stop in a small town of Gerik. Order light snack or take a stroll in the town observing the locals going on with their daily chores. Later enroute, make a photostop at the Banding Island with its scenic view of the the Temenggor lake. Further on, stop at the highest mountain point on this route that is 1050meters above sea level overlooking Thailand Malaysian border. From here you’ll have a breathtaking view of the famous Titiwangsa mountain range with its dense tropical rainforest.

On arrival in the state of Kelantan, proceed to the border town of Rantau Panjang. It’s the junction for people of Thailand and Malaysia to meet, mingle and trade. From the Malaysian side of the border one can see Thai villages. Duty free shops offer varieties of products to visitors. From the Malaysian side of the border, one can see Thai villages of the country’s Muslim origin on the other side of the Sungai Golok (Golok River). The river is the lifeline for the people on both sides of the countries, supplying water for their daily and agriculture use. Overnight.

DAY 08 : WED – KOTA BAHRU – TERENGGANU (170 KM)
At 0830 hours, we start the day with a visit to the colorful wet market and visit traditional cottage industries like the silver handicraft, songket weaving, kite making and top spinning. Drive along the coast, taste some keropok, the famous local chips. Stop at Pulau Duyong, famous for its boat making, visit a brassware making shop, and local handicraft centre before arriving at Terengganu.

Visit the Losong Museum, built in a traditional architectural concept. Its highlight is the section on Royal Heritage artifacts. Overnight. (Optional tour: Turtle watching is available from May to September when giant leatherback turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.)

DAY 09 : THUR – TERENGGANU – KUANTAN (250 KM)
At 0830 to 0900 hours, depart for Cherating/Kuantan. Pass by the Floating Mosque and the oil town of Kerteh. Visit the Marang Fishing Village and Turtle Information Centre. Enroute, taste the “lemang,” rice cooked in bamboo. Be a guest of a local community for afternoon tea.

Continue with a tour of Cherating. The main attractions are coconut plucking, mengkuang leaves being weaved into bags, mats, and other local handicrafts. Drop off in Hotel. Tour ends.
