Private Cultural Roundtrip of the Sultanate of Oman

Day 1 : Saturday
Arrival into Muscat. Meet and transfer to the Radisson SAS Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 2 : Sunday
Breakfast. Am at leisure.
1530 hrs: Drive through the elegant residential Shatti Al Qurum Area. Continue for a photostop of the magnificent Al Alam Palace, residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts, Mirani & Jalali. Visit the Bait Al Baranda a new interactive museum. Also stop at the colorful Muttrah Souq.
Overnight stay at the Radisson SAS Hotel.

Day 3 : Monday
Breakfast.
0830 hrs: Our tour of the Grand Mosque. (Ladies fully covered with scarf and shorts not allowed for men). Proceed to the Seeb Fish Souq located by the seaside. Drive to Rustaq Fort. Later drive through the date palms and stop at the Nakhl sparkling springs and Nakhl fort.
Afternoon at leisure.
Overnight stay at Al Nahda Resort.

Day 4 : Tuesday
Breakfast.
Morning at leisure to enjoy the pool and the resort facilities.
1300 hrs: Depart for Nizwa visiting Birkat Al Mauz village via Fanja.
Check-in at Falaj Daris Hotel.

1600 hrs: Depart for the famous Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century, and its Souq, popular for its intricately hand-carved"khanjars" (daggers) & ornamental silver jewellery.

Day 5 : Wednesday
Breakfast.
0800 hrs: Visit the village of Tanuf before proceeding for a photostop to Bahla Fort which has been declared as a World Heritage site. Visit Jabrin, the finest of Oman's castles built in the late 17th century, became a seat of Omani learning. The castle displays the highest achievement in Omani ceiling painting & beautifully executed woodcarvings. Visit the Al Hoota Caves.

1500 hrs: Drive from Nizwa to Muscat.

Day 6 : Thusday
Breakfast.
0800 hrs: Depart by 4wd vehicles to the spectacular Wadi Arbayeen. We proceed towards the fishing town of Quriyat through the stark mountain terrain. Drive through this fishing village visiting the 400 year old Quriyat Fort before heading for the Fish souk where a variety of fish is traded for local consumption as well as export. Drive along the picturesque waterfront .

There is a good chance of spotting Flamingos and Eagles at an inland stream. We then start on an adventurous route cutting through the mountains. At the end of the route Wadi Arbayeen awaits with its deep pools of water set among the date palms. Enjoy a picnic lunch here.
Drive back via Wadi Mazara .

Day 6 : Friday
Breakfast.
1200 hrs: Checkout of Radisson SAS Hotel.
Transfer to the Seeb International airport for your flight back home.
