KUATO-1 PANCING CAVES & PANDAN WATERFALL TOUR

A Thai-Buddhist temple was found inside the
limestone cave. A short climb will take you to the main cathedral where a 9-meter Reclining Buddha statue lies. The strategic positioning of the statue allows the natural sunlight to lit it up. Stop for a short cool refreshing swim in the natural pool created by the Pandan Waterfall. **Entrance fee not included.

Riddled with facts and fiction, a sunken Khmer City, mythical ‘Naga’ (Dragon), Lake Chini remains an attraction for the nature lover with a spirit of adventure. Located south-west of Kuantan in the wilds and surrounded by mountains, Lake Chini is accessible by an out-board motorboat ride under the canopy of some very old and interesting tropical trees lining the narrow winding river. Highlights is a visit to an ‘Orang Asli’ (aborigines) settlement to witness their way of life and the natives will enlighten you of their way of hunting with the use of a blow-pipe. An added bonus, when in season, is the startling beauty of pink lotus in full bloom.

KUATO-5 TERENGGANU TOUR

The journey up north passes by quaint Malay villages, coconut plantations and fishing bays dotted with colorful fishing boats of all sizes.
Along the way, see the livelihood of the locals e.g. making of ‘Lemang’ (bamboo rice), ‘Keropok’ (fish crackers), salted fish and a common sight is a trained monkey plucking coconuts. In Kuala Terengganu, the capital of Terengganu state, see the ceremonial Palace of the Sultan and several old building in the China-town corner.
Visit the Turtle Information Centre (May to September). Stop at some local handicrafts like pandanus weaving, brassware etc, and the most important being a Malaysian silk factory. Meal: Lunch

KUATO- 6 KAPAS ISLAND TOUR

An early morning drive up north to the fishing village of Marang to catch the boat to the island of Kapas. The softness of the sand on the beach gives this exotic island its name – meaning cotton. Laze around, trek into the interior, to discover the interesting flora and go snorkeling. Corals are still abundant and the water is clear enough to see the colours of the tropical fishes that surface.
