Afternoon sightseeing tour of city includes a visit to the Government Museum and Art Gallery, to see the art and bronze gallery (closed on Fridays and public holidays) and also a visit to the famous 16th century Kapaleeshwarar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, sacred to Tamil Shivaties. Non-Hindus are only allowed up to the outer courtyard. Later drive past Fort St. George, Marina Beach and San Thome Cathedral.

Day 2 - CHENNAI – HYDERABAD by air
Morning excursion to Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is one of Hinduism's seven most sacred cities. This "Golden city of a Thousand Temples" dates back to the early Cholas in the 7th century A.D. Only around 70 temples of the original 1000 old temple complex are still intact and the most famous of them is the Kailasanatha Temple built with sandstone in the early seventh century A.D. Kanchipuram is famous for its silk weaving and a visit to the nearby villages to see the craftsmen at work on their looms is rewarding experience. Later transfer to Chennai airport to board flight for Hyderabad.

Day 3 - HYDERABAD
Morning sightseeing tour of city visiting Charminar & Sararjung museum. Afternoon excursion to 13th century Golconda Fort, once famous for its diamond mines.

Day 4 - HYDERABAD-BANGALORE
Today transfer to airport in time for flight to Bangalore. Meeting & assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Bangalore visiting the Lal Bagh, Bull temple and drive past the government Secretariat, Vidhan Soudha (Legislature building) and Cubbon Park.

Day 5 - BANGALORE – HASSAN (192 Kms or 119 miles/4-5 Hrs)
Leave Bangalore by car / coach for Hassan en-route visiting Shravanbalgola, view the largest statue of Bahubali, a Jain saint. On arrival, checkin at hotel. Afternoon visit the famous 12th century temples of Belur & Halebid, one of the finest specimens of Hoysala architecture.

Day 6 - HASSAN –MYSORE (115 Kms or 72 miles/3 Hrs)
Leave Hassan by car / coach for Mysore enroute visiting Srirangapatnam, 16 kms before Mysore. Among the many fort buildings still intact are Tipu’s airy summer palace and his tomb at the Darya Daulat bagh (Garden). On arrival, checkin at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of city visiting the palace of Maharaja built in 1911-12. Visit the art Gallery, drive upto Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari temple and on way back see the Nandi Bull,

Day 7 - MYSORE-OOTY (158 Kms or 98 miles/ 4 Hrs)
Leave Mysore by car / coach for Ooty. On arrival, checkin at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour visiting the Botanical Gardens. Also visit Doddabetta peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris mountains.

Day 8 - OOTY –COCHIN (280 Kms or 174 miles/ 7-8 Hrs)
Leave Ooty by car / coach for Cochin. On arrival, checkin at the hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 9 - COCHIN –PERIYAR (185 Kms or 115 miles/ 4 Hrs)
Morning sightseeing tour of city visiting the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue - (which remains closed on Saturdays) St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coastline, at the Harbour's mouth, one can also view the unique and still-in-use "Chinese Fishing Nets" which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th Century. The tour ends in the Fort Kochi area where you can walk through the historical Dutch and Portuguese buildings. Some parts of this nearly 500-year-old Fort are still amazingly well preserved.

Later leave Cochin by car / coach for Periyar. On arrival, checkin at hotel.

Day 10 - PERIYAR -MADURAI (142 Kms or 88 miles /4 Hrs)
Early morning, boat rid on lake Periyar to view wildlife. Later leave Periyar by car /coach for Madurai. On arrival, checkin at hotel. Afternoon sigthseeing of Madurai visiting Great Meenaskhi Temple, dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams, rising high above the surrounding township. Later visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - a gracious building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work on its domes and arches. Also

Day 11 - MADURAI-TRICHY (142 kms or 88 miles/4 Hrs)
Leave Madurai by car / coach for Trichy. On arrival, checkcin at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of city visiting Rock Fort temple.

Day 12 - TRICHY-TANJORE-TRICHY
Full day excursion by car / coach to Tanjore visiting the Brihadeeshwara temple, the old town, the Raja Museum and the art gallery.

Transfer to airport in time for flight to Chennai. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of city visiting Fort St. George, St. Mary’s Church, Indo Saracenic High Court building, Kapaleeswarar temple and San Thome Cathedral.

Day 14 - LEAVE CHENNAI
