Upon arrival at Salahuddin airport of Bima, you will
be met and transferred to Sape harbour, then take
a boat to cross the Sape strait to Komodo Island.
Lunch will be served on boat. Dinner and overnight
at Ranger’s House (Wisma PPA) or on boat.
After breakfast, the safari will be started by half
an hour’s walk (2km) to Banunggulung to see
the KOMODO DRAGONS which are scientifically described
in 1912 as VARANUS KOMODOENSIS, the largest monitor
lizard in the world, which can grow up to 3 meters
long. It is estimated that there are 2000 lizards
on Komodo Island. The islands is also a good place
for birdlife with cockatoos and gosong birds (megapodius
reindwardti) among others. This is the highlight of
this adventure. The rest of the morning is free to
visit the small but interesting Park Laboratory Museum,
and relax on the beach. At midday, sail back to Sape.
Lunch will be served on boat. Upon arrival at Sape
Harbour, you will be transferred direct to your hotel
in Bima for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to airport for the flight
to your onward journey
