the 4th longest reclining Buddha in the world.
Next stop at Fort Corwallis, of the English
East India Co., where Captain Francis Light
landed in 1786. At the Khoo Kongsi Clan House,
you will be fascinated by the intricate carvings
on the wall pillars and the roof by master craftsmen
from China. Our final stop at the Botanical
Gardens, offering lush green surroundings with
a wide variety of tropical plants and bird life.

of Chinatown, a Hindu temple and a sumptuous

a Malay Restaurant for buffet dinner and Cultural

a hatchery and a “Preserved Butterfly

of tropical flora and fauna while monkeys roam
freely, living happily in their natural habitat.

Crossing the 13.5km Penang Bridge to the mainland,
with a leisurely drive cutting through miles
of Oil palm & rubber plantations and Malay
Kampongs. Arriving Kuala Kangsar, the royal
town of Perak, view the magnificent Ubudiah
Mosque, built in 1917. A brief stop at a traditional
handicraft center before proceed to Ipoh, the
City of Tin Mines. Stop for lunch (own expenses)
at the colonial Majestic Station Hotel which
was featured in the famous movie "Anna
and The King". After lunch, visit the State
Museum, showcasing the history and development
of tin mining & forestry industry in Perak.
Before returning to Penang, visit the famous
"Sam Poh Tong Temple", itself an impressive
of art and faith, with various statues of Buddha
among natural stalactites & stalagmites.

Take a scenic drive up north, passing by paddy
fields along the highway. Stop at the Immigration
border of Malaysia/Thailand. Please make sure
you bring your passport for this tour. After
the Immigration procedure, the tour will continue
to Hatyai town. Hatyai is a very popular shopping
