Approximate Duration: 3 days / 2 nights
Day 01
0930 hours depart for Danum Valley. Drive for
approx, 2 ½ hours to reach Borneo Rainforest
Lodge. Along the way, wildlife may be spotted.
Arrive, a short briefing of the lodge. Lunch
at jungle lodge. Afternoon, guided nature trail
by the lodge experience naturalists. Canopy
walkway to see wildlife. Dinner. Nature slide
presentation on wildlife, ecology & activities
in Danum Valley. Night drive in an open jeep
with a spotlight in search of wildlife. Return
to jungle lodge and overnight. (Maximum baggage
allowance is 10 kg for flight BKI/Lahad Datu).
Day 02
0630 hours, birds watching at Bill’s Corner
-optional. Return to jungle lodge for breakfast.
Proceed for nature trails with the lodge experience
naturalists through the undisturbed riverine
and lowland dipterocarp forest. Visit ancient
Dusun Burial site and trek up to View Point.
Return to lodge for lunch. Extended hike to
look for orang utans. Birds & other wildlife
along nature trails. Dinner. Optional night
guided walk to see wildlife or drive in an open
jeep to search for more wildlife. Return to
the jungle and overnight.
Day 03
0630 hours proceed for early jungle walk and
bird watching before breakfast. Brief visit
to the waterfalls, pools and hike upstream.
After lunch, depart for Lahad Datu. Transfer
to hotel or airport
What to bring:-
Raincoat, hat, insect repellant, sun lotion,
swimwear, towel, torch & toiletries. Use
good walking shoes. A pair of leech socks or
thick socks. Comfortable cotton t. shirt with
long or short pant recommended.
