An introduction to Kota Kinabalu the capital
of Sabah – The Land below the Wind, and
its suburbs Itinerary Tour includes Signal Hill,
Sabah Foundation Building (one of the hanging
structure in the world, Po Toh Tze Buddhist
Temple, State Museum which display artifacts
from Sabah’s Past and modern work of art,
State Mosque which is a spectacular sight of
structure with its majestic domes and gold motifs,
Tanjung Aru Beach the famous long sandy public
beach and Hawker Stalls. (The Sabah Museum is
closed on Fridays).

Take a drive of 20 minutes to Kampung Kuai.
Situated on the banks of the Penampang River
among shady trees and paddy fields. A visit
of the legendary house of Monsopiad’s
descendants, where the 42 skulls of the warrior
adversaries and a thighbone of the giant Gantang
are being displayed. Let yourself be enthralled
by the stories and mysteries of the ancient
folk fare of Kadazan.
At 0915am, arrive Kota Kinabalu city jetty,
depart from a boat journey of a 20 minutes ride
to Sapi Island. Arrive at Sapi Island. Free
at leisure. (Activities – Seaport available
at own pax account such as Parasailing, Jetskii,
Kayak, Snorkel & Fin set can be hired OR
boat charter to do island hopping around TAR
PARK). Proceed by boat to Manukan Island for
fish feeding. At 1530: Transfer back to mainland
What to bring:-
Insect repellent, swimwear, sun lotion, hat
& water. Use good trekking shoes, change
of cotton T-shirt and short pant, sunglasses
etc. Included Island Entrance, Jetty, Sea transport,
Land transport. Lunch box
Approximate Duration: 09 hrs
A Kinabalu Park 1,600 metre above sea level
with soothing temperature. & with an area
of 754 sq. km is home to Mount Kinabalu 4,101
metres high. It is 88km, or 2 hours drive from
Kota Kinabalu. It is botanist’s paradise,
home to over a 1500 species of orchids, 330
species of birds, 26 species of rhododendrons,
fern, pitcher plants & others.
Itinerary: Park Headquarters, exhibition
hall, mountain garden and guided nature trail.
Meal: Lunch
What to bring:-
Raincoat (during rainy season) and pullover.
Use good walking shoes. Comfortable cotton T-shirts
with long or short pant recommended.
Approximate Duration: 09 hrs
0830hrs, depart hotel for a three hours drive
to Poring Hot Spring. Arrive Poring and proceed
to canopy plank walk via nature trails to observe
wildlife in the Canopy. Pack lunch served. Depart
Poring and proceed to Kinabalu Park. Arrive
at park, visit’s the Mountain Garden to
see some of the Park’s Native Plants.
After the tour, return to Kinabalu and drop
off at hotel.
What to bring:-
Raincoat (during rainy season), insect repellent
and hat. Use good walking shoes. Comfortable
cotton T-shirt and either long or short pant
recommended.
Approximate Duration: Full day
0800 hrs, pick up and transfer to Beaufort.
A short walk around town upon arrival. Board
train to Pangi Station which is the starting
point. Here light refreshments will be served
followed by a briefing on precautions and rafting
techniques. Commence rafting down Padas River.
End point at Royah Station. Pack lunch is served.
Depart for Beaufort Train Station via railcar.
Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu expecting to
arrive at 1900 hrs. Meal: Lunch
Approximate Duration: 07 hrs
0830 hrs pick up from hotel and transfer to
Kiulu. Light refreshment will be served upon
arrival. At 1030 hrs transfer to the starting
point (Sukang/Pukak) where the guide briefs
on safety precautions and rafting techniques.
After that rafting begins down to Kiulu River
and should arrive at Kiulu at 1230 hrs. Lunch
upon arrival and transfer back to Kota Kinabalu
at 1350 hrs to return to hotel/airport. Meal:

Note:-
Rafter must be physically fit, contact lenses
are not advisable. Do not bring precious ornament
along the trip. Children below 05 years are
not allowed to raft. Participant must sign liability
release form before the trip begins.

To bring tower, changes of clothes, shoes, short
to change, Sun lotion, waterproof camera, hat
Approximate Duration: 08 hrs
0800 hours depart and take an overland journey
passing through Tuaran and stop over at Kota
Belud Town. At 1130 hours overland to Kudat
Town for lunch at “Kedai Kopi”.
Journey to Rungus Longhouse – Kg. Bavanggazo,
Matunggong, Kudat, and Rungus Community –
the Living Museum. Learn about bees at Kampung
Gombizau. At Kampung Sumangkap, an enterprising
small village where visitors can observe traditional
gong-making and handcraft making by the villagers.
What to bring:-
Comfortable walking shoes, light cotton clothing,
hat, sunglasses, umbrella, torchlight for those
for overnight, personal toiletries, towels.
Approximate Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Day 1
0630hrs, pick up from Kota Kinabalu for a 02hrs
drive to Kinabalu National Park. Arrive and
register with Park Administration office for
Summit Climb and meet the mountain guide. Ascend
up to 11,000ft with packed lunch. Along the
way, search for pitcher plants and wild orchids.
Accommodation will be at the Laban Rata Resthouse
at 10,500ft level. Accommodation: Hostel style
06 paxs/room.
Day 2
0200 hrs, wake up call for BF0300 hrs start
climb to the summit in order to be on time to
witness the sunrise. Descend to the Park Headquarters
for the drive to Kota Kinabalu, expected arrival
at 1600 hrs. Meal: Fullboard
What to bring:-
Raincoat, warm clothing, windbreaker, drinking
water, hat, gloves, extra thick socks, good
torch, toiletries, towel and others items of
personal use. Use good trekking shoes. It is
advisable to bring a sleeping bag because
of the condition of some rooms in Laban Rata
which might have poor heating system.
Approximate Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Day 01
0830hrs pick up and transfer to Kinabalu National
Park. The home to numerous species of interesting
flora & fauna. The park is located 1,600
meters above sea level with soothing temperature.
Guided nature trails for flora and fauna. After
lunch, see a video presentation at the Park’s
Exhibition Hall. A guided Mountain Garden Walk
follows after that. Proceed for overnight stay.
Free to leisurely stroll and enjoy the fresh
cool air while enjoying the spectacular scenery.
Day 02
After breakfast depart for Poring Hot Spring.
Upon arrival, explore various nature trails
and walk on canopy plankwalk to observe bird
and animal life. Depart Poring Hot Springs for
Kota Kinabalu.
What to bring:-
Raincoat, inspect repellent, good torch light,
toiletries, tower, other items of personal use.
Good walking shoes and comfortable T-shirt with
long or short pant recommended.
